November 18, 2009:

• SvBux – Their site is still down and an SvBux member started this forum thread (Bye SvBux-Hope for Sv – attn sv members) saying that the SvBux admin won’t be bringing back the site.

  I was actually thinking of placing SvBux on the Scam Alerts section of this blog but after reading numerous forum threads and posts around the web about SvBux (especially the forum thread I posted here), I decided to just place this news on the Latest News & Updates section.

  The SvBux admin said that almost everyone who invested in the past days and weeks sent in chargebacks to their Paypal account. Their Paypal account was locked and they couldn’t pay anyone anymore. Plus, they also claimed that their site is experiencing heavy DDoS attacks that’s why it was down for days.

  This still feels a little shady for me but it seems that a lot of SvBux members are pretty satisfied with the admin’s explanation. But, if you ask me, the SvBux admin should’ve done something more to fix this. There are a lot of people ready to help them – members that they already paid very well. But, no, he decides to quit and not fight back. I mean, c’mon. Before you entered the Bux business, didn’t you even think about all the possible worst-case scenarios like this? You should’ve prepared yourself from DDoS attacks. You should’ve notified members through popular forums like TalkPTC about what’s happening to you and you should’ve accepted the help that members are offering you.

  I still think that the SvBux admin did run away with lots of money. I don’t think Paypal will simply lock their account and not give them any options to fight back if there wasn’t anything shady going on.

  So, with this, I have removed them from my trusted PTC sites list.

  Added to my Highly Recommended PTC Sites is Earn.BZ. This site was put up by owners of PPLinx and RevBux so it’s now on my highly recommended PTC sites.
